OUR NEXT MEETING IS TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14TH at Barnes & Noble Booksellers (corner of Green River Road and Lincoln Avenue).

"Five Minutes of Fame" -- Each month a different, pre-selected member bravely stands before us to give a brief presentation of their work. This is followed by constructive comments and critiquing from the audience. As authors are often asked to read excerpts from their work, this is a valuable opportunity to hone presentation skills.

It bears repeating: Mark your calendar now for "MWG: Making Writers Great!" -- the First MWG of Evansville, Indiana, Writers Conference, to be held Friday, Sept. 30th and Saturday, Oct. 1st of 2011. This is a major event, a terrific opportunity to broaden your knowledge and network with industry professionals and other writers of all types. Plan to be there!
